13. Your Fabulous Life Starts Now! No Waiting!

What? How can my fabulous life start now when I JUST got my Fabulous Vision down on paper? Yep!! That's the best news of all!

Hi, I'm Lisa Barry, a radio DJ who's been in pursuit of a fabulous life for 20 years and I'm here to help you get unstuck from an average life and give you the tools and secrets to create a fabulous one.

Believe me when I tell you, the best part of your journey, has already started. A big part of the fabulous life is not in getting to the desired end, it's the dreaming, the visualizing, it's the pursuit! Here, I'll prove it!

Think about a wedding. Whether you've had one or not, you know a lot of planning goes into a wedding. You also know that actual wedding ceremony and reception last all of 5 hours at most. I've seen so many people put all their eggs in that 5 hour basket to be the fairytale they envisioned. It rarely is. Even if everything goes perfectly, the bride and groom are pulled in every direction, pummeled with questions, trying to remember names, trying to have fun with the bridal party and keep on schedule with all the details. It's exhausting! The biggest hope of the bride and groom is there's a video they can watch after the fact to try and live it out the way they imagined they would.

I remember planning my own wedding. It was wonderful. Know why? Because everything is PERFECT in the planning! Nothing goes wrong. Nothing is late, nothing is too small or too big, there are no checks to sign. For some reason I was keenly aware that my actual wedding day could never live up to everything I was imagining. Things were gonna go wrong on the big day no matter how organized I was. So I decided to embrace the planning and dreaming as the real prize! The actual event would come and go as fast as you can say 'I do'. And it did. But realizing the 6 months of planning was the prize was the best thing I could have done

Now, the planning and dreaming phase of Creating Your Fabulous life has become a tennet of the Fabulous Life. Ask anyone who strived their whole life to get something. Once they got there, they found it hollow and not at all as satisfying as what they imagined it would be. Why? Because they didn't know that that pursuit of a vision is more satisfying than actually achieving it! And here's why that is doubly depressing! Because not realizing the joy was in the PURSUIT of the Fabulous Life, they felt unfulfilled because they hadn't reached their ultimate goal. And then when they finally reached it, they were still unfulfilled because the pursuit was over and thus, the fulfillment was gone too.

I hope that encourages you. What it means is you don't have to wait to be happy. You don't have to put your life on hold while you pursue your fabulous life. You're in it! You're doing it! You're pursuing it! You're planning it. We were all created to dream and plan and hope. Embrace all of those. They will feed your soul and spirit and satisfy you.
