5 Products I'm Obsessed With on Amazon!

Updated: Oct 27, 2022

My mom used to constantly buy things from the Harriet Carter catalog. First there was the shampoo halo that was supposed to keep soap out of my 3-year-old eyes. Didn't work. Then when I had a calcium deposit on one of front teeth, she bought tooth paint (think liquid paper) and stroked it on like nail polish!

I vowed to myself, never to get caught up with new gadgets that promised to fix all of life's problems. Well, I didn't know about Amazon yet! Now I feel like my mom lives on in me as I buy all of these gadgets that promise to make life better. I suppose there have been a few duds over the years, but there are 5 things that are literally making my life more fabulous!

Here we go! And just so you know, I might get a small kickback if you buy something using one of these links so that would be fun) LOL!

This is the most divine egg cooker ever! I start every day with a breakfast of Pesto Egg Toast. (Click here to learn how I make it). I just open this up, spritz a little olive oil in it and then pour in about a 1/4 c. egg whites. (You, of course, can use a regular egg if you want to). Put it in the microwave for 1 minute and voile! You've got a perfectly round, perfectly cooked egg for your Pest Egg Toast. It's practically perfect in every way. I have 4 of them just to be sure I'm never caught with one in the dishwasher. Here's a link to it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3TOB1Po

You may be wondering what this even is! It's a can opener!! Wild huh? It's got batteries, won't cut you and it turns all the way around the can all by itself! I don't like counter clutter so my corded can opener was in the pantry. It was a hassle when I was trying to cook something and I had to go dig it out, make space for it on the counter, fight with the cord that was constantly in the way and hope I didn't draw blood with that sharp metal stabbing wheel! With this one, all I have to do is position it on top of the can, press that top button and then watch it go all the way around. And get this! When it's done, there are no sharp edges! How? I have no idea but I love it! It does take a little getting used to but once you do, you'll never want to use a regular can opener again! It takes batteries. I've had it a year and so far have not had to replace them. Here's a link to get it on Amazon: https://amzn.to/3N1pl9R

Whenever I watch people chopping things on cooking shows, they always look like they're having fun. Whenever I'M chopping things, I am NOT having fun! But when I discovered these scissors with 4 blades, suddenly I WAS having fun cutting chives, and green onions especially.

There's even a little comb tool to help you scrape the freshly cut greens right off the blades and into your dish. What a time-saver! And I am all about efficiency!! Why didn't anyone think of this a lot sooner!?

I have two sets of these and here's how I use them. I had several random travel mugs in the cupboard and they looked messy. The rest of the dishes looked nice all stacked and pretty, but not the mugs. So I put them all in one of these baskets and I love it! I also have them in the pantry to hold baking supplies that have a tendency to fall all over the place. (Think powdered sugar, sprinkles, extracts etc.) I like them out of the way anyway since I don't use them very often. This keeps the pantry looking neat and organized. Then, when it's time to bake cookies, I just haul out the basket and I have everything I need. https://amzn.to/3TwT4tO

I am obsessed with canning jars and I don't can anything!!! Isn't that a hoot? I like

them for a variety of reasons. First of all, I love using them for leftovers. Why? Because glass just seems more sanitary to me. Not only that, but they don't take up a lot of room in the fridge and they look so pretty in there! They clean up easily in the dishwasher and I don't have to worry about chemicals leaching onto food from plastic containers. But I don't use the metal lids that come with the jars. I buy a separate package of the white plastic lids. (Click here for those). I also love how the mason jars look in the cupboard. Neat, classy, shiny and clean! I store the lids in a different drawer so the cupboard doesn't get messy. Look how pretty they are! I do a few different sizes so I have small ones for overnight breakfast pudding or smaller portion left-overs. They are so inexpensive too! I'm a huge fan! https://amzn.to/3TyTgsv
